Description
A village near the mine north of Hole. The roads become steeper on the approach, but a waggon can get uphill and reach it.
The cactus grove is near the mining village. The hot springs are on the other side of the mine — thirty minutes from the village.
Notes
- The waggon ride from Hole to the mining village, grove and springs takes half a day; the party arrived at 3:30 PM / 4 PM
- It is a further thirty minutes from the mining village to the hot springs
- The party reached the village in Session 10 but drove straight through to make camp at the springs — nobody in the village was met or spoken to
Session 11 — the village explored
- The party rode further up the mountain from the cactus grove to reach it. From there, both the hot springs and the cactus grove are visible below on lower outlooks
- The village is eerily silent. There is a distinct lack of activity
- Some of the buildings have collapsed or broken in half. Is something undermining the foundations?
- The party heard the faint cry of a child and wondered whether it might be a false cry from a wolf with too many knees. It was not — it was a real toddler, alone outside one of the buildings
- The party also heard a faint cough. There may be people in some of the buildings
- One house had its windows boarded up, with a wheelbarrow and metal equipment propped against the entrances. Inside were two rooms — a main room and a smaller bedroom — and, in the bed, a woman with something moving beneath her skin

What happened to this village? Silent, no activity, buildings collapsed or broken in half — and people still coughing inside some of them.

Who boarded up the house and propped equipment against its entrances, and which side of the door were they trying to secure?
Session Appearances
| Session | What Happened Here |
|---|---|
| Session 10 | Reached at 3:30/4 PM after a half-day waggon ride north, past Arminhanmer Manor and up steepening roads. The party drove through and continued thirty minutes on to the hot springs to make camp. Established as the landmark nearest the cactus grove |
| Session 11 | Explored for the first time. Reached by riding further up the mountain from the grove. Found eerily silent with no activity, and buildings collapsed or broken in half — possibly undermined from below. A faint child's cry and a faint cough gave away survivors. A thin toddler was found alone outside a boarded-up house; inside, Doctor Webb found the child's mother in bed, who said "Get them out" as a creature moved beneath the skin of her cheek |
