Description
An Order warden with a chipper Australian accent. He was a peer of Cuthbert's who trained at the Order at the same time — Cuthbert recognised the voice but could not remember the name.
Wardens wear a smooth featureless solid gold mask. It is hard to breathe in them, and Jacob unmasked once the sword came down.
He introduced himself by waking Cuthbert in his tent on Thursday morning with a sword pointed at his throat.
Notes
- Jacob outranks Cuthbert. His ruling on the chain of command: Cuthbert's official order from the Order is for Cuthbert to give orders to himself and to the 1983 trio
- His instruction is to bring Cuthbert back to his original time. Cuthbert reasoned the mission is to bring him back eventually — and that time does not have to be now
- Jacob is unaware of whether "the balls things" (the Richie Durgin directive) is the reason Cuthbert was sent to Hole
- It is stressful to be a warden: a lot of responsibility, and they are not given much information
- Cast the resurrection spell alongside Cuthbert and Alfie; vomited once the spell was completed
