Description
Owner of the mine north of Hole and the mining company that operates it. His surname used to be Armenheiner before he Americanised it to "Arminhanmer."
Named in the rumours Ms March gathered around town in Session 8 — the party has not yet met him.
Notes
- His company covered up the disappearance of the miners eleven months ago and discouraged talk of the matter
- The mine's main shaft was closed after that incident; the company is now attempting to open a new shaft
- Inkwell Girtle, the mining company's bookkeeper, presumably works under his company
- Lives at a green oasis on the road north out of Hole — a huge manor house built among green grass and trees, with its own road, signed 'Arminhanmer Mining Co' (Session 10)
- Not a man of the people. He does not come into Hole often
- He and his wife host parties at the house; people come from other towns to attend
- Doctor Webb and Ms March have heard of him but have never met him
