Durgin Homestead
Description
Large and dilapidated — cobbled together from different types of wood. Animal traps every ten feet around the perimeter. A gun poked through a smashed window when the party arrived. Hostile atmosphere.
Notes
Approach with caution. Guns trained from inside. The Durgins do not welcome visitors and demanded disarmament before any conversation.
-
Hamish originally had ten sons. Only Luke and Richie remain.
-
Their pig was slashed up (some blood still on the ground; they've eaten it). Not killed cleanly — doesn't fit a prank or normal predator.
-
Session 1 ended with a gunshot from inside the house after Ms March accidentally asked Luke about his butt.
-
In Session 10 downtime, Cuthbert teleported into Richie's bedroom in the middle of the night and blew a powder in his face. Richie sneezed, woke, and yelled to his family that Cuthbert was in his room before Cuthbert teleported back to his tent.
-
Later the same week, Cuthbert noticeably sped the waggon up as it passed the homestead on the road north, and would not tell Doctor Webb the real reason why.
- What happened to Hamish's other eight sons?
- The traps everywhere — the Durgins knew something was coming. How long have they been afraid?
- The Durgins know Cuthbert teleported into Richie's bedroom at night. What do they do about it?
